•    The Greek word “meter” and Sanskrit word “mantra” have two meanings of mother and measurement.

•    In China the names very frequently start with the sign having the meaning of mother. In such a way the Chinese may worship their mothers long past.

•    In ancient Greece people organized the Mother’s day celebrations in spring as almost all the countries do. They worshipped the mother of all the gods Rhea bringing cakes, flowers and tasty beverages.

•    Hindu sculpture honors the Great Mother under the name of Kali Ma. The people believed it was she who gave the start t the alphabet’s invention.

•    George Washington once said, “My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her.”

•    Native American Indian women for a long time were called “Life of the Nation” for their present of motherhood to the tribes.

•    Today this festive occasion is marked almost in every country throughout the globe. The people from these countries pay tributes to their mothers, treating their moms in a royal manner

•    81% of women with the age 40 - 44 are mothers.

•    Buddha worshipped  mothers by saying, “As a mother, even at the risk of her own life, loves and protects her child, so let a man cultivate love without measure toward the whole world.”
