Mother in Different Languages
In Afrikaans language mother is “Moeder”, “Ma” and in Albanian ‘Nënë”, “Mëmë”. In Arabic countries the word is “Ahm”. In Spanish and Norwegian mother is “Madre”.
Translated into Belarusian and Polish the word used for mother is “Matka”.
“Mèder” is the word in Bolognese language. The people in Bosnia and Bulgaria people say “Majka”. “Mãe” is used in Brazilian and Portuguese languages. “Nana” is in Chechen;” Mati”, “Majka” in Croatian. In Czech language translated mother is “Abatyse”. In Danish is “Mor” and in Dutch “Moeder” or” Moe”. In England people say “Mother”,”Mama”, “Mom” and in Frence “Mère “and “Maman”.
In German language the word is “Mutter”, in Greek - “Màna” and in Hawaiian “Makuahine”.In Hindi language mother is “Ma” and “Maji”, in Hungarian “Anya”or “Fu” and in Icelandic language “Móðir”.
