Mother’s Day Candy Recipes

Sea Foam Candy
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup white  sugar
2 egg whites
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup nuts
1 spoon vinegar

Boil for 10 minutes water, vinegar and sugar. In a separate bowl beat the egg whites with salt. Pour gradually the sugar syrup into the egg whites and beat very well. Then add vanilla and nuts.

Turtle Candy
150 g pecan halves
24 caramel candies
170 g sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon butter

With aluminum foil cover a cookie sheet with the shine side up and lightly grease it. Place three pecan halves in Y shape place one caramel candy in the middle. Heat the oven to 150C and bake until caramel candies melt. Separately melt and heat it. Then add chocolate chips and when it is melted remove. Spread the chocolate mixture over the melted caramel candies and put in the refrigerator to cool for about 1 hour.

Mothers day balls
450 g powdered sugar
180 g chocolate bars
30 g butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 creamy peanut butter

Line with wax paper a baking sheet. In a bowl mix the peanut butter, butter, sugar and vanilla extract. Form smooth dough with hands. Shape small balls, place on the wax paper and put it in the refrigerator. Melt separately 15 g butter and chocolate and remove the balls from the refrigerator. With the help of a wooden toothpick dip each ball into the melted chocolate and place again onto the wax paper with the chocolate side down. Put back in the refrigerator for 1 hour, until chocolate is firm.

Butter candies
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup water
3 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 spoons cocoa
Cream the butter, cocoa, sugar and water and boil for 1 minute. Then add the oatmeal and peanut butter. Spoon on a wax paper and leave the candies to harden.
