Nowadays Mother’s Day is celebrated in about 46 countries all over the world though at different times in the month of May. By the way in some countries it is celebrated in entirely different times of the year. Through all the globe mothers adore this day and children try to make it special and unforgettable for them. They do their best to express infinite care, love and appreciation for all good moms are doing.
Mother’s Day Celebrations
It is very interesting to know how Mother’s day is celebrated. Prayer services are held in many churches to honor mothers. Traditionally children begin give presents from the early morning by taking breakfast to their moms to bed. Children wake up earlier than their mothers and special festive meals. If they are little one, they prepare this surprise with the help of fathers. As a special festive touch to mother’s breakfast, children place a single flower or nosegays in a tray along with food. As a present little ones make gifts on their own. As for adults, they tend to prefer purchasing some original and unique presents.
On the occasion of mother holiday they prepare various cookies, pies, cakes and lots of mom’s favorites. Some families prefer to celebrate this day by dining at home. The others prefer to have diner out of home. Husbands and sons, brothers and daughters invite their lovely dear mothers at favorite restaurants.
People in many countries go out for a picnic and have a great rest in the family circle. Mother’s day is celebrated by children at schools as well. Mothers are invited to festive party, were they are entertained with funny songs, plays and dances. Thus, kids try to tribute their dear mothers.
Children’s special care for their mothers, day of family reunion
As Mother’s day is dedicated for mothers, children try to provide mothers with a special care and love. They embrace moms, kiss them and thank for all time spent with them. They display their appreciation and gratitude for mother’s love, help and support. To ease this day for mothers children provide them with a day of rest. They try to make all work about the house, cook, clean and wash on their own. Elder children book a parlor for their mothers to have manicure, face and body massage. Thus they give mothers the opportunity to relax and make care for themselves.
People living far away from their mothers, strive to come and spend this special day with their parents. Thus, Mother’s Day may be called as a family reunion holiday.
