Mothers Day Flower Arrangements

January 10th, 2008 by mothersday

If you want to surprise your mother with beautiful flower arrangements, you can buy a nesting glass vase with around 20 tulips in different colors. Instead of water put them in water flower crystals. If you order the tulips earlier, cut their stems on an angle and place them in cool water and in dark place. Do not add plant food, but one spoon of sugar to keep the tulips fresh for longer time. To make such arrangement even more interesting, buy and a larger glass vase. Place the smaller vase with the tulips in the centre of the bigger one. Roll a piece of paper and make a funnel. Then fill it with jelly beans. With funnels help, fill the space between the vases with jelly beans. If you do not have so much at home, use also different candies.

To make great looking roses arrangement is not so difficult. All you need are three dozens of roses: one dozen in white color, one dozen with yellow roses and one dozen in red color, also some greenery, sugar, pruner, any color cellophane, bow, rubber band, stapler and a beautiful vase. First thing you have to do is to put rubber band around the stems, so you could easily keep them in place. Use your imagination and arrange the flowers and the greenery in your taste. When you like the final look of the bouquet, fill the vase half with water, put one teaspoon with sugar and place the roses in. If your mother lives in a different house, when finish with the roses arrangement, wrap the cellophane around the stems and staple securely. If you want you can add a bow around the edge of the cellophane around the whole bouquet. On a nice Mothers Day card write your best wishes or a short poem.
