Mothers Day Gifts for Grandmothers

On Mothers Day it is time our kids to show their appreciation to their grandmothers. Some of our tips are very easy and the kids with pleasure will surprise their grandmothers.

The first thing that always occurs to our mind on a holiday is to send a greeting card if we can not go personally. But allow your kids to create their own Mothers Day card for their grandmother. Do not take the traditional one from the shop. Buy some construction paper from the craft shop and let the kid to create his own design. You can help him and you will be really amazed how wonderful card he can make. If the kid is not sure what exactly to draw, you can give him some ideas. If he has more then one grandmother, let him create different card for them. Together choose what to write inside of the card, so he can express how he really feels about her.
 
Another very interesting idea is together to create her gift. Rock painting is easy and inexpensive craft. Buy from the shop some acrylic paints and allow the kids to draw whatever he wants. A happy summer design or a vase with flowers, are great ideas. Then let it dry completely and together you can wrap it in nice paper. Or if you want create and a personal gift bag. His grandmother will be really amazed and happy to see that her grand child had created her gift with his own hands. In the same time the kid will be happy that he had the chance to play and create something beautiful and personal.

Favorite among the kids is to cut out colorful strips. If you have some pieces of colorful construction paper, ask him to cut out nicely shaped forms which after that he can stick to a nice box. A simple box can be transformed for few hours into a beautiful jewelry box for his grandmothers.
