Single Mothers Poems
My Mom
My mom is very special,
My mom is very kind,
My mom always tells me I’m special,
She’s always on my mind.
My mom watches me grow,
My mom watches me cry,
Of course she’ll always know,
She’ll never have to tell me goodbye.
My mom will always hug and kiss,
My mom will always care.
My days she will never miss,
Coz I’m her little teddy bear.
My mom is very special,
My mom is very kind,
My mom always tells me I’m special,
She’s always on my mind.
Single Mother
Stop the world from breathing for just one moment
Turn off the sun the moon and the stars for just as long
For life is moving too fast and I haven’t caught up
Four children a sick mother and an apron every day
Events seem to come and go without due deliberation
Sometimes I feel like screaming, but nothing comes of that
If I could have one moment of nothing happening at all
Then, just maybe I could breathe again.
Sometimes
Sometimes they flow bitter and warm
with no end because your heart is torn
from the empty vows of a cheating husband
who promised fidelity and eternal love.
Sometimes they flow cold
and straight from the corner
of your eye as if you witnessed your soul die. You cry these kind of tears
trying to be strong
in midst of the trials and tribulations.
The hard times that are always present,
never ending. Heartache never ceasing.
Sometimes you awake in a cold sweat
and tears prevail like summer’s hail
Uncontrollable, these are tears
in which you need to be loved and held.
These are tears of fear
they make your heart hurt and ache
from unending lonely nights.
Sometimes they flow slowly
and calm as if you were in church
and heard an angel whisper in your ear
that everything’s gonna be alright.
