Special Crafts for Mothers Day

Really unique present for Mothers Day can be a pot with fresh herbs. Gardeners sometimes sell such pots but if you want you can make your own. It is very easy and your mom can use it for long time. Also it will give a fresh look to your kitchen.

Choose a beautiful pot first. Fill it with soil from your garden 2 sm. under the upper edge. Then you have to press the soil using the bottom of other, smaller pot. Plant the seeds 1, 5 – 2 sm between each other. Put some more soil over, but leave 1, 5 sm to the top. Water the seeds every day in the first week. After that, three times per week or other way the leaves of the parsley will become yellow. Place the pot near the window. After 40-50 days you will see the new green parsley’s leaves. If you do not have that much time, then you can place the seeds in water for 1 or 2 days but you have to change the water carefully every 7-8 hours.

Other very nice gift for Mothers Day can be a greeting card decorated with dry flowers. On a proper sized construction paper piece, glue over your mother’s favorite color textile material. Press it with a heavy book and then iron it to remove all scratches.  Leave it for a day. Use your imagination and create a beautiful flowers basket or a magnificent landscape painting, only with dry flowers. I f you prefer the simple applications and a single flower will look gorgeous. But be very careful while working with dry flowers because you can damage them very easily. Use only few drops glue to stick the flowers to the textile. Be creative and make things that you think are beautiful and unique and your mother will appreciate your efforts on this special day.
