Sunflowers

Usually the children want to surprise their mom on Mothers day. You can help them to create beautiful flowers with few items that you have at home. You will spend great time together and will create the greatest Mothers Day gift.

Together you can make sunflowers using only cardboard tubes, cardboard, wooden skewers, orange, yellow and green paint, foam brushes, glue, scissors, small rocks, pencil and small piece of foam.

You have to cut the larger cardboard tube into rings, on every 1sm snip all around each ring. The snip should be around 1, 5 sm deep. When you fold back the snips you will make the flower petals. Paint them in yellow color and leave aside to dry completely. On the cardboard make the middles of the flowers. This depends on how many flowers you want to create. When cut them out paint in orange color and leave again to dry. In the bottom of each flower punch holes. Slide the skewer and you have to glue it to stay in place. From the card board cut few shaped like leaves pieces and glue them to the stem.

To make a nice looking vase you can use small cylinder box, which you can paint in your mother’s favorite color. If you do not want to paint it, then wrap this box with beautiful gift paper. Also if you want go with he children to the shop and buy a small glass vase. Fill it to the middle with small river stones, small rocks from the garden or foam.  They will keep the vase on place. Tie nice ribbon and write your wishes on a small note. This is a great present and the father can help his children to prepare wonderful gift for their mother.
